Popup

This guide describes setting your store's popup section to display a small window over your store pages. The popup is typically used to contain promotional messages and advertising for your store's visitors.

The following video shows enabling the popup at the bottom of a store's home page.

Set up the popup

To set up your store's popup:

  1. Go to Customize theme, and then select the Home page template from the dropdown at the top of the page.

    Note

    The popup section is accessible from all page templates, excluding the Checkout, Password and Gift card page templates.

  2. From the side menu, select Popup.

  3. Select a setting described in the following table.

Section setting nameDescription
Display modeUse the Display mode dropdown to show/ hide the popup.
DelayAdjust the Delay slider to set a delay between 2 and 30 seconds or sec before the popup appears on a page.
FrequencyAdjust the Frequency slider to set the number of days before a closed popup reappears. The minimum slider value is 2 days and the maximum is 30 days.
Content > HeadingIn the Heading text entry field, provide text for the popup title.
Content > TextIn the Text text entry field, provide text for the popup and format the text using the text editor pane.
Content > Text sizeUse to Text size dropdown to set a text size for popup text. The text size options are S/ Small, M/ Medium, L/ Large and XL/ Extra Large. Refer to Adjust text sizes.
Content > Call to actionUse the Call to action dropdown to set the type of prompt in the popup to Newsletter signup or Button. In the popup, the former prompts customers to subscribe to your store's newsletter. Customers who subscribe have their email address added to the "accepts marketing" customer list. To manage your customers' details, follow the customers list link to the Customers page in your store's admin. The later adds a button to the popup.
Content > Button linkIn the Button link text entry field, provide a URL for the popup button to use as a link. Requires setting the Call to action dropdown to Button.
Content > Button textIn the Text text entry field, provide text for the popup button. Requires setting the Call to action dropdown to Button.
Color > Color schemeUse the Color scheme dropdown to set the popup's color scheme to Primary, Secondary or Tertiary. Refer to Customize color schemes.
Theme settingsSelect Theme settings to access additional popup settings. Refer to Section theme settings menu.
